with bedrooms in the rear. A small rustic two bedroom cottage, Tree Spirit has one bedroom set up as a tea room where you can place a massage table if you wish. Let us know if you plan to practice during your visit.
Tree Spirit sleeps two best, with total indoor space measuring approximately 700 square feet. The master bedroom contains a king sized bed. If additional beds are needed, both tea and great rooms provide fold outs.
Appointed chiefly with recycled furniture and appliances, Tree Spirit features a nicely equipped kitchen with old-fashioned coil stove and restaurant sink. Out back is a charcoal grill. Kitchen utensils include a fondue pot, shrimp/pasta pot, crock pot, ice cream maker and other sundries, plus herbs from our gardens.
A funky outdoor bathhouse with Japanese lines and cast iron tub highlights bathing facilities, complemented by outdoor shower and footbath in front & indoor bathroom with shower.

Trees come into view from most windows. A second entrance in the kitchen area leads onto an east-facing deck looking out at an enormous maritime oak with three trunks.

The earth beneath and around the house as well as the house itself have been treated energetically over a period of two years, culminating with attunement.
Walk one or two hundred yards in either direction to reach the beach or the sound.

When you stay at Tree Spirit Retreat, we ask that you treat it as a visit to a friend’s home. Please leave things as you found them - we do not charge a cleaning fee. We provide certain linens and remove trash and recycling. In the fashion of the traditional beach bungalow, assorted beach gear can be found on the premises.

To make a reservation, please send your name, e-mail and street address, phone number, the dates you wish to reserve, rental fee, and a security deposit of $150 [or 25% if staying more than one week]. The deposit will be retained as security, to be returned at the end of your stay.
